Advisory Board Leadership Positions
Treasurer – The Treasurer will be responsible for generating and presenting a quarterly fiscal accounting report at Advisory Board meetings. The Treasurer reviews, approves and submits expense reimbursements and invoices to the St. Theresa Bookkeeper. He or she reconciles B&B financial records with bank records and church records, and oversees the Sacramento Diocesan Parochial Fund, Inc. account. The Treasurer will assist the Director with accounting and policy procedures.
Volunteer Chairperson – The Volunteer Chairperson is responsible for coordination of all B&B volunteers. He or she processes volunteer applications, assigns volunteer positions in conjunction with program chairs and lead coordinators, and maintains accurate volunteer records. The Volunteer Chairperson provides volunteers with B&B Volunteer Handbook/Orientation Manual and ensures new volunteers have signed and turned in the Handbook acknowledgement form within two weeks of initial volunteer assignment.
Deep Cleaning Chairperson – The Deep Cleaning Chairperson is responsible for the quarterly cleaning of Grace Hall kitchen. He or she coordinates and supervises B&B cleaning crews and community service groups and procures cleaning supplies as needed.
Lead Volunteer Coordinator Positions
Monday Meal Volunteer Crew Coordinator Assistants – Serves as Assistant for one Monday Meal per month providing direction to volunteer teams regarding setup, serving, and cleanup. Commitment is for one Monday per month from approximately 2:30-6:45pm at Grace Hall located at 1041 Lyons Avenue.
Kids’ Backpack Program – Summer Lead Volunteer – Oversees and serves as lead for the summer food distribution program held at Grace Hall on Wednesdays. Commitment is for a couple of Wednesdays over the summer (mid-June to September) from approximately 8:30am to 1:30pm at Grace Hall located at 1041 Lyons Avenue.
Kids’ Backpack Program – School-year Lead Volunteer – Oversees and serves as lead for the school-year distribution program guiding volunteers in packing and distribution of bags to local schools. Commitment is for one Thursday per month during the school year (September to mid-June) from approximately 1:30-3:30pm at Grace Hall located at 1041 Lyons Avenue.
Monday Meal Cooking Team
Lead Cook Assistant – Assist the lead cook in preparing Monday Meal. Commitment is for one Monday per month from approximately 11:00am to 5pm at Grace Hall located at 1041 Lyons Avenue.
Substitute Lead Cook – As needed, lead the cooking team in preparing Monday Meal. Commitment varies based on need and is from approximately 11:00am to 5pm on various Mondays throughout the year at Grace Hall located at 1041 Lyons Avenue.
Setup/Serving Crew Weekly Teams
Monday Meal – Assist Crew Coordinator with setup/serving of Monday Meal and distribution of groceries as needed. Commitment is from 3-6pm one Monday per month at Grace Hall located at 1041 Lyons Avenue.
Second Serving – Assist Crew Coordinator with setup/serving/cleanup of Second Serving as needed. Commitment is from 3:30-6pm one Friday per month at the Lake Tahoe Community Presbyterian Church located at 2733 Lake Tahoe Blvd.
Clean-up Crew
Monday Meal – Assist Crew Coordinator with cleanup of kitchen and dining room after Monday Meal is complete. Commitment is from approximately 5:15-6:45pm one Monday per month at Grace Hall located at 1041 Lyons Avenue.
Deep Cleaning – Assist the Deep Cleaning Chairperson with quarterly cleaning of the Grace Hall kitchen. Cleaning typically occurs on a weekday from 10am-2pm, four times per year, at Grace Hall located at 1041 Lyons Avenue.
