Kerstin has been with the B&B organization as a member of the Monday Meal Serving Crew since 2021, and she became a Team Lead in the Fall of 2025.

She grew up in Southern California, a beach girl, and moved to Tahoe in 2015. She lived on the East Coast for several years, attending college and playing field hockey on the North Shore of Boston. She then led youth wilderness trips in upstate New York, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania.

In addition to being a Bread & Broth volunteer, Kerstin is a licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been involved in mental health care since 2006. She is also an active member in her children’s school PTA organization. On weekends, you can find her and her family outside swimming, hiking, riding bikes, skiing, or attending children’s soccer or flag football games.
