SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – After two years of modified services for the local food-insecure community due to the pandemic, Bread & Broth has announced they are resuming hot meal services. The hot meals will replace the food bag giveaways they provided two days per week for the past 24 months.
Starting Friday, March 4, Second Serving meals will return to the Lake Tahoe Community Presbyterian Church located at 2733 Lake Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe. From 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. each Friday, the meals will consist of a soup and a simple entree (lasagna, chili dogs, pasta dishes, etc.). Dinner guests will be provided with “giveaway” bags containing canned goods, bread, and pastries, based on the availability of food items.
Then, on Monday, April 4, Bread & Broth will return to serving Monday Meals, providing a full-course, nutritious hot meal with second servings, “to go” and food “giveaway” bags filled with dairy products, fruits, vegetables, bread, and more. These dinners will be provided each Monday from 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. at St. Theresa Grace Hall, 1041 Lyons Avenue, South Lake Tahoe….Read more
