SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – During the month of April, Bread & Broth 4 Kids (BB4K) volunteers hosted a booth at Flatstick Pub to raise money for the weekend food bag program. Flatstick donated $1 to the organization for every round of mini golf played and for every beer purchased all day on Sundays during the month. A total of $1,445 was raised during the month.
The BB4K School Weekend Food Bag Program provides seven single-serving meals, fruit, and snacks for food-insecure children in the Lake Tahoe Unified School District each Friday. This gives them much-needed food over the weekend when away from free school lunches.
