Dear Fellow Bread & Broth Volunteers,
In July of 2016, I assumed the leadership position of St. Theresa’s Bread & Broth organization.  It has been an amazing five year run as Director of one of the community’s most respected non-profit organizations and an organization whose selfless volunteers have helped ease hunger for so many of our food insecure neighbors. 
My goal was to serve as Director for five years and return to just serving as the Fundraising Chairperson on the B&B Advisory Board.  With the COVID-19 pandemic still impacting our service to the community, my original plans have slightly changed.  I would like to continue in the Director position through the transition period of re-establishing our pre-COVID programs: Monday Meal, Second Serving (Friday’s meal) and the B&B 4 Kids School food weekend backpack program. 
In anticipation of stepping down from the Director position in the next four to five months, I believe that it would be helpful for both my replacement and for a smooth transition for the organization, to announce my retirement and seek my replacement now.  This would allow for a period of two to three months for a transfer of information and sharing of responsibilities with my successor.
The Director position is a very rewarding experience and provides the opportunity to interface with a wonderful community of volunteers, supporters, sponsors, partners, and clients.  I have attached the “Bread & Broth Director Position Description”which outlines the responsibilities and qualifications for your information.
